Course Overview
Note: This is a DWWTC custom course and not part of the official Juniper Networks curriculum. JTCs will not be accepted for these classes. This intense, two-day program is designed to prepare attendees who have previously taken the Introduction to the Junos Operating System (IJOS) course for taking the certification exam while simultaneously gaining insight into real-world applications for the knowledge gained through their coursework. The course starts off with a day of applying JNCIA-level knowledge and principles to scenarios based on real-world operations with Juniper Networks systems. The second day is a review of JNCIA competencies aligned with the current JNCIA-JUNOS certification exam. Key topics include user interface options with a heavy focus on the command-line interface (CLI), configuration tasks typically associated with the initial setup of devices, interface configuration basics with configuration examples, secondary system configuration, and the basics of operational monitoring and maintenance of Junos devices. The course then delves into foundational routing knowledge and configuration examples including general routing concepts, routing policy, and firewall filters. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring the Junos OS and monitoring basic device operations. An exam voucher is included with this course.Course Objectives

Target Audience
This program is designed for students who have attended successfully the IJOS and JRE courses (prior to April 1, 2017) or the IJOS course (since April 3, 2017) and are working toward JNCIA-JUNOS certification.Course Outline
