Test Design & Metrics
DWWTC has the capability and skills to create and implement testing as part of a certification program. We have developed test questions and implemented testing programs through companies such as VUE and Sylvan/Prometric as well as private test development to meet corporate guidelines. Aside from creating “official” certification exams, our team of instructional designers can create effective tests to measure training effectiveness and evaluate student potential in your products and technology.
The process of creating credible tests begins with a solid test design. We'll help you:
- clarify your testing purposes
- define your testing domain
- conduct job task analyses to determine which skills, knowledge and abilities should be tested
- create measurable objectives
- Develop comprehensive test blueprints.
You choose the type of assessment you need -- licensure, certification, diagnostic, screening or placement -- and we'll ensure that you have a solid foundation for that assessment.
Our process is designed to ensure that your items meet the highest standards of technical accuracy, language quality and psychometric validity. This process of developing exam items is critical; however DWWTC ensures fast, efficient and secure item development while keeping costs low.
DWWTC will help you determine the best action to implement the testing features that best suit your business needs:
Learner Survey (Level 1 Assessment). Measures learners’ reactions to the event. Information gathered in the survey pertains to the student, instructor, material design, administration, facilities and equipment.
Learner Assessment (Level 2 Assessment). Measures if learning objectives have been met immediately following the event. Subject Matter Experts will develop Level 2 Assessment. Pre-course and post-course assessments will be developed to measure the differential in what the learner has learned (or retained).
Learner Skill Set / Knowledge base Transfer (Level 3 Assessment). Measures the transfer of skills back to the job. Subject Matter Experts will develop level 3 Assessment. Performance-based assessments will be developed to support the learning objects.
Learning Impact (Level 4 Assessment). Measures the learning impact on the business. Examples include increase in productivity, profitability, increase in customer satisfaction, increase in sales, and decrease in returns. A final evaluation of the course and all assessments will be conducted between appropriate personnel, selected learners and Subject Matter Experts.
