The Introduction to the WAN Acceleration Framework (IWX) course is an introductory-level, instructor-led course that focuses on installation, configuration, and operational analysis of the WAN Acceleration (WX) and WAN Acceleration Cache (WXC) platforms.
This course is part of the Juniper Networks J-Partner Certification Program and prepares students for the JNCIA-WX Certification exam, which is based on the content of this course.
The term “WX Framework” defines the eight specific elements that comprise the WX/WXC application acceleration platforms; the eight elements are Molecular Sequence Reduction™ (MSR); Network Sequence Caching (NSC), Packet Flow Acceleration™ (PFA), Application Flow Acceleration (AppFlow), Quality of Service (QoS), Multipath, WebView, and WAN Acceleration Communication Management System (WX CMS).
The course focuses on the Webview graphical user interface and also covers the Command Line Interface (CLI). In-line configuration using Quick Setup and operational monitoring are provided utilizing MSR and NSC. TCP application acceleration is configured and tested using PFA's Active Flow Pipelining (AFP) feature. AppFlow-which speeds up CIFS, Exchange and HTTP traffic and implementation of Quality of Service (QoS) policies are covered.
All of these features are configured and tested in labs by the students.
The WX Framework's exceptional monitoring and reporting capabilities are also featured including an introduction to the WX Central Management System (WX CMS). |
